Straight Pool Deluxe 5.6 — Timing stats you can trust

5.6 is a maintenance release focused on timing: your pace stats are now accurate, and game durations read the same everywhere.

Fixed: absurd Time/Ball after leaving a game open

If a game’s scoreboard was left open for a long stretch — say, overnight between sessions — that idle time used to get counted as playing time, producing nonsense stats like a 4-hour Time/Ball. 5.6 detects turns that ran impossibly long for the balls actually shot and leaves them out of your timing stats. Your real pace comes through; the idle time doesn’t. Genuine marathon runs are safe — the allowance grows with the size of the run, so a long run’s time still counts.

Existing games are fixed automatically the first time you launch 5.6 — no action needed.

Cleaner durations in game history

Game durations in the history list now read the same way as the game details page — “2h 5m” instead of “125 min” — and games without meaningful timing (like games entered after the fact) no longer show a misleading duration. The history list and the details page now always agree.

What to do

Update from the App Store — that’s it. Your existing games are corrected on first launch, and your players, games, and stats are otherwise exactly as you left them.
