It is our policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our app. The app runs on iPad and on Apple silicon Macs. Registration is optional but required to unlock cloud sync features. Unregistered users' data never leaves their device.
Personally-identifying information is only collected for registered users. When you register, we collect your first name, last name, email address, and a password (stored encrypted on your device and on our servers — never in plain text). A username is also associated with your account; one is auto-generated if you do not choose one.
Game and scoring data is synced to our servers for registered users. This includes game records (scores, date played, duration, player names, pool table details) and detailed turn-by-turn statistics. This data is shared with other registered users you play against so that both players have access to their shared game history.
Device information is sent with each sync request: a device UUID generated by the app, your device model, operating system name and version, and app version. This information helps us maintain compatibility and diagnose sync issues.
We use no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. All data is transmitted exclusively to servers at straightpooldeluxe.com.
We use collected information to operate and improve the app, to sync your game history across your devices, and to share game records with players you have played against. We will not rent or sell your information to anyone. We may disclose personally-identifying information only in response to a subpoena, court order, or other governmental request, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights of ourselves, third parties, or the public.
If you are a registered user, we may occasionally send you an email to announce new features, solicit feedback, or share updates about the app.
All communication between your device and our servers is over a secure encrypted connection (HTTPS). Passwords are stored using one-way encryption and are never transmitted or stored in plain text. Your password is stored on your device in the iOS/macOS Keychain.
You may delete your cloud account at any time from within the app (Settings → Account → Delete Cloud Account). Deleting your account removes your personal information and game data from our servers. Your local game history on your device is not affected. If you need assistance with account deletion, contact us at feedback@straightpooldeluxe.com.
Although most changes are likely to be minor, we may change this Privacy Policy from time to time, and at our sole discretion. Your continued use of this app after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.
